Whether this person (name unconfirmed) arrived in Canada with family cannot be determined.
It appears this family arrived in Canada sometime prior to the Census of 1851/52 (possibly with or without this unnamed senior McSorley as the head of the Household). We can assume they arrived sometime around 1847/48 given that James’ Daughter Elinor is listed as having been born in Ireland 3 May 1844 and Joseph (son of James) born March 1848 in Nepean Township.
The 1952 Federal census of Nepean records John (b.1825) as the head of the Household and the 1861 census records James as the head of the household.
